Is there a backlog at work, and you have no time for anything? Efficient work is the result of following simple rules. Don't believe it? Just give it a try.
First, the simplest yet most often ignored rule: your desk should be free from old, non-essential documents and any distractions; this rule also applies to your computer's "desktop." It's important that each document has its own folder, and during a "brainstorming" session, notifications for incoming messages should be turned off, as they really distract and steal time. Also, don't forget to close all applications when finished, otherwise the next working day will start with them open. You'll be surprised at how much your ability to concentrate and your productivity will noticeably increase.

Second, it's very important to determine your priorities. There are many methods for organizing efficient work. The Eisenhower principle has become well-known. This priority-setting model is as simple as it is effective: it uses 4 trays (physical or virtual) that help us distinguish between "important" and "urgent" tasks. As President of the USA, Eisenhower used this principle to quickly distribute tasks. So, divide all tasks into 4 categories:
Tasks in category 1 have the highest priority and you should complete them before tasks in category 2. If possible, you should delegate tasks in category 3 and continue to do this consistently in the future. Feel free to toss the contents of the tray for the last category 4 into the trash bin.
Third, watch your time. The law formulated by British sociologist Parkinson "Work expands to fill the time available for its completion" allows you to approach planning consciously and use it to your advantage. Many have undoubtedly noticed that no matter how much time you allocate even for a simple task, it will be completed by the set deadline and no earlier. This can be explained by various reasons: some try to perfect the task, some often get distracted, work slowly or procrastinate. Efficient work = Effective use of time, so whenever possible, set yourself realistic but strict time frames for solving specific tasks. This is a small psychological trick and it really works - give it a try.
