What is more important, the process or the result, and how can employees be protected from stress, burnout, and frequent sick leaves?

According to studies in the field of organizational consulting, people who have a positive attitude towards their work, are motivated, and enjoy fulfilling their job responsibilities are a crucial condition for company growth and a prerequisite for successful business.

When we talk about a healthy workforce, we mean not only physical health or sports activities but also mental health. This includes a positive inner state that brings pleasure from the work process regardless of the type of activity, resulting in a quality outcome on time, as a logical conclusion to the work done. Most of those who participated in the study faced situations of heightened emotional tension as they began their professional careers, because fulfilling job responsibilities generally requires flexibility in working with clients, high quality standards, thorough knowledge of the work process, quick response, and decision-making. As a result of such pressure, anxiety, frustration, stress, and psychosomatic disorders arise, which in turn lead to physical ailments and frequent sick leaves.

A survey among 1000 company employees about the possibility of having access to prompt, anonymous online psychological consultation yielded the following results:

Today, maintaining the physical and mental health of employees has become one of the elements of corporate strategies.   2. Inventory (a stage aimed at exploring the context of the situation, understanding the meaning and usefulness of the task at hand, and identifying the available tools and methods for its implementation)
  3. Situational Encouragement (a stage to see the positive aspects and benefits of the forthcoming work)
  4. Verbalization (a constructive approach to problematic issues and finding ways for optimal solutions)
  5. Goal System Expansion (the result of this stage should be an answer to the question of what new opportunities the solution to this issue opens)

Such an approach allows for maintaining focus on finding resources within oneself and one's environment, distancing from emotions, gaining immunity from emotional burnout, and most importantly, providing self-help in addressing psychological problems.

As a rule, psychological problems have nothing to do with work, but they have a huge impact on employee efficiency and productivity.
